We, Sandmeier Nachschleiftechnik GmbH, CH-4552 Derendingen, have been exclusively engaged in the reconditioning of worn indexable inserts (WSP) since 1984.

Today, our process is so advanced that indexable inserts of any shape, size, and grade can be efficiently sorted, reground, and—if necessary—recoated. To ensure maximum economic efficiency (30–60% of the price of new inserts), we have abandoned traditional mindsets and adopted new approaches to the process.

The machines and fixtures, specifically developed and prepared for these tasks, guarantee grinding quality equivalent to that of standard commercial indexable inserts. The regrinding method is fully developed, and the reconditioned tools have repeatedly proven their performance to the full satisfaction of our customers in countless tests under demanding, continuous operating conditions.

We have achieved tool life equal to that of new inserts—or, in some cases, even up to 50% longer. Considering that reground inserts deliver the same, and often up to 50% higher, tool life compared to new indexable inserts, the use of reground and newly coated WSP is imperative.
