The ASVE steam sterilizer offered was manufactured in 1998 and is equipped with a cylindrical chamber with a capacity of 80 liters, loaded from the top. The device has a built-in steam generator, and its construction – including the chamber, housing, and fittings – is made of stainless steel and other corrosion-resistant materials, ensuring durability and resistance to corrosion.

The sterilizer is designed for steam sterilization of a wide range of materials, such as laboratory glassware, infusion fluids, culture media and microbiological cultures, medical instruments, surgical linens, dressing materials, rubber products, as well as metal and plastic containers. It is primarily used in laboratories, hospitals, clinics, outpatient clinics, and pharmacies.

The autoclave was operated until March 31, 2026, in the microbiology laboratory of the Silesian Library, where it was used as a "clean" device for sterilizing small laboratory equipment – approximately once a week. It was dismantled in working order and remains in good technical condition. The device has current UDT inspections, and complete manufacturer's documentation and a protocol from the last inspection are included, confirming the validity of the internal inspection and pressure test.
