Clinical Applications:
The Oculight SLx laser system can be used to perform retinal photocoagulation and glaucoma procedures.
While this infrared laser (810 nm) can be used for conventional photocoagulation,
it also has some unique treatment capabilities, such as
transscleral retinal photocoagulation for retinal tears and detachments,
transscleral cyclophotocoagulation for refractory glaucoma,
transpupillary thermotherapy photocoagulation for choroidal lesions, and
and MicroPulse photocoagulation below the threshold diabetic retinopathy and age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
Laser Indirect Ophthalmoscope (LIO)
The TruFocus Laser Indirect Ophthalmoscope (LIO) is ideal for patients
who are best examined and treated in the supine position.
It is considered an industry first optical design,
that eliminates the need for laser focus adjustment and allows a wide range of working distances.
