Not only does it process all types of plastic waste, but it also easily handles bulky materials such as large bales and carpet padding without pre-sizing. It is also at the highest level in terms of efficiency. Thanks to the shredding unit that preserves the material and the optimized extrusion process, you can sustainably achieve your zero-waste goals with X (all production waste is recycled). Plastic waste is processed by a heavy-duty shredding unit that operates at a low speed to minimize loss of material properties. In this process, a hydraulic piston pushes the material to be shredded towards the shredding shaft. The shredder and extruder drives are controlled separately and automatically, depending on the load. After the shredding process, the shredded material is transferred directly to the extruder via a feed screw. In the extruder, the material is brought to a homogeneous melting temperature and, if necessary, degassed. All components are positioned close to each other to prevent oxidation of the material and to make the best use of the heat generated during the shredding process. In a single process step, the slow-rotating shredding blades grind the plastic waste, and the shredded material is continuously transferred to the extruder via the feed screw. Large, thick, or bulky waste can be processed directly, as long as it fits into the hopper, without requiring a shredding process. The control system ensures the smooth start-up of the equipment components. After an unexpected stop, it can be restarted in less than two minutes with a full hopper and a full extruder. The material level in the hopper is continuously measured, and the feed is adjusted accordingly. Uneven filling of the conveyor is possible – the NGR control unit takes care of the rest.
