CUTTING COLUMN MODEL 1400
Structure made of cast iron with stabilization treatment.
- Flywheel diameter: 1,400 mm
- Flywheel width: 180 mm for maximum blade width of 205 mm
- Flywheels with solid discs and special ribs to increase mechanical characteristics, subjected to stabilization treatment
- Upper flywheel support on prismatic guides with ball recirculation
- Hydraulic blade guide based on prisms and ball recirculation, equipped with hydraulic double-cylinder blade pressure unit: the blade is pushed outward during the cutting phase for high stability at high speed.
During the return phase of the log carriage or when the carriage is not in operation, the blade automatically retracts from the guides, thus reducing the pressure.
- Centralized column lubrication, with manual pump

- Rapid and precise movement of the hydraulic clamps via brushless servo motor
- Electronic thickness control model: for clamp adjustment, composed of an integrated operator panel connected to a PLC.
- The PLC communicates directly with the brushless motor, enabling fast and precise positioning up to one-tenth of a millimeter.
- The different machine components (column, carriage, control panel) are interconnected via Can Open protocol. This system eliminates all control cables and auxiliary relays, minimizing wiring and reducing failure risk and electromagnetic interference.
