The single-shaft shredder WL 8 is a proven classic for shredding wood waste of all kinds. It is used, for example, thousands of times in wood processing companies worldwide. The machines are characterized by their very robust design, which ensures an extremely long service life (even outdoors).

Intuitive operation thanks to Siemens PLC control with touch display

To ensure that the electronics are optimally matched to the machine, we design, build and wire our control cabinets ourselves. We use only high-quality components for this – for example from Siemens or Rittal. Intuitively operated touch surfaces guarantee quick adjustments. Functions such as setting the gate timing or stop ensure a high throughput. The built-in overload protection also prevents damage to the machine.

No material bridging thanks to self-cutting hopper design

The hopper performs several tasks at once. The material to be shredded is initially fed into it – manually, mechanically or via a conveyor belt. The generous opening also makes it easy to fill in very large parts. However, its special design, which is rounded at the front and thus effectively prevents material bridging, is crucial for shredding. Even with bulky parts, the shredder cuts itself free. If required, hopper extensions and lids with gas springs are also available.

Long-lasting rotor bearings thanks to offset design

Due to the extreme stress during shredding, a rotor bearing must be particularly robust. To prevent dust or foreign objects from entering its interior, we have separated it from the machine frame. This also makes it very easy to maintain and access.
