Special price – demonstration machine, Garbsen. Our WL 6 machine concept. The Weima high-performance shredder, with its flexible application options, can process all types of wood-based materials (hardwood, softwood, chipboard, MDF materials, plywood, veneer remnants, etc.) into wood chips, achieving a significant volume reduction of the material, especially with bulky materials. Mode of operation: The machine is equipped with a large feed hopper and can be loaded via a conveyor belt or manually. This hopper can be adapted to individual needs and guarantees a continuous and cost-effective material feed without requiring manual assistance. The hydraulically controlled slide feeds the wood waste to be shredded to the cutting area of the rotor and is automatically and load-dependent controlled. The internal slide guides are made of highly abrasion-resistant plastic (polyamide) and can be adjusted. The hydraulic cylinders are cardanically suspended to avoid transverse forces on the piston seals. The patented and profiled V-rotor, made of solid steel, has a diameter of 252 mm and operates with a rotor speed of 80 - 120 rpm. The concave, aggressive, and four-way rotatable knives/cutting crowns are located in milled knife pockets on special knife carriers. This patented system guarantees, through the resulting reduction in the cutting gap between the counter-knife and the rotor, a high throughput, low energy consumption, and an optimal discharge of the shredded material. The screen located under the rotor determines the chip size (10 - 100 mm). An optionally available, hydraulically opening screen basket is also available. The power transmission from the electric motors is via V-belts to a heavily dimensioned gearbox, which is attached to the rotor shaft on one side. Precise cutting at high throughput with a profiled V-rotor. The V-rotor, developed specifically by WEIMA, is universally applicable and made of solid material. Its aggressive material feed, with up to two knife rows, guarantees a high throughput with low power consumption. It can be equipped with hardened cutting knives made of steel with edge lengths of 30 mm and 40 mm. These can be repeatedly rotated when worn, which drastically reduces maintenance costs. Intuitive operation thanks to a Siemens PLC control with a touch display. To ensure that the electronics are optimally matched to the machine, we design, build, and wire our control cabinets ourselves. In doing so, we use only high-quality components – for example, from Siemens or Rittal. Intuitively operable touch screens guarantee quick adjustments. Functions such as adjusting the slide timing or stop ensure a high throughput. The built-in overload protection also prevents damage to the machine.
