PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE
XILOG MAESTRO 3D – the new powerful software developed by SCM Group – is the software for programming MORBIDELLI’s machining centres.

• Visualization in 3D graphic mode of the workpiece, geometries, machining operations, and worktable;
• Available: shading mode with different shading levels, wireframe mode, rendering visualization, geometry visualization, and toolpath visualization (CAM);
• Zoom function, general functions, and visual aid for the workpiece;
• Sketching function for inputting geometries, thus creating drawings (CAD) with a preview.

The machining head with 5 interpolating axes, fixed directly to the mobile gantry, guarantees maximum strength during routing operations and provides top finishing quality, even with high material removal rates.

Characterized by a specific configuration with axes rotating at 50°, the Prisma machining head offers several advantages over traditional 5-axis machining units, such as:
• Full use of machining areas, both with 5 axes and with a vertical spindle.
• Spindle overall dimensions are kept outside the working area.
• Very streamlined spindle design in the case of horizontal machining.

The machining head is equipped with an 11 KW “High Speed” electrospindle and has a centralized exhaust system with automatic activation/deactivation of airflow on the working units.
