Euro-Komplex EK-24

The EK-24 unit is a dust and chip extraction and filtration system for wood and wood-based material processing.
The unit is manufactured by the Polish company Euro-Komplex, which specializes in the design, production, and installation of comprehensive dust extraction systems used in various industries, particularly in woodworking and furniture factories.
The filter effectively removes contaminants from multiple machines simultaneously, such as circular saws, panel saws, four-sided planers, veneer coating machines, CNC machines, milling plotters, and sanders.

The filter's robust and solid construction is made of hot-dip galvanized or powder-coated steel with a thickness of 2mm, and the inlet tunnel and reinforcements are made of 3mm steel. The structural elements are fastened with 8.8 screws with Teflon inserts. It is worth noting that the filter basket used is uniform and smooth, without welded elements, which facilitates airflow with waste fractions without depositing them on the basket walls.
The EK-24 is equipped with an 0.09 kW electrovibrator in an ATEX system, used to clean the filter bags made of antistatic and waterproof material with a weight of 350g/m² and an air permeability of 240l/dm²/min. The cleaning system is fully automated and operates in appropriately selected time cycles adapted to the type of dust being extracted.
Thanks to the use of an air return lock (summer/winter flap), in winter, the cleaned and filtered air returns to the production hall, which has a very beneficial effect on maintaining the appropriate temperature and provides measurable financial benefits.

The WTK fans used in the EK-24 have self-cleaning impellers and a reinforced design, which guarantees stable operation for a long time.
Electrical control is carried out using a control unit equipped with protection and a time control system for the electrovibrator and the fan motor.
The control cabinet is equipped with a frequency converter, which enables the adjustment of the fan motor speed and provides very precise control.
The air lock is used to separate the filter zone from the external zone. It blocks the airflow, allowing only wood chips to pass through, so they fall freely into the bag without an air blast. The air lock is equipped with a system that mitigates the impact of the impeller in case a large solid object enters the unit.
It is equipped with a dry fire tube mounted on the filter, used to quickly supply water or extinguishing agent to the closed filter chamber using internal sprinklers. The installation is equipped with a fire brigade connection necessary to connect fire department equipment or a hose directly from a fire hydrant.
The filter also has a pressure relief device, which lowers the pressure in the event of an explosion. It is designed to relieve an explosion developing inside a protected device, such as hoppers, silos, separators, filters, sorters, etc., where an explosion hazard exists. By releasing the explosion into the environment, the explosion pressure is reduced to a value below the allowable pressure resistance of the protected device.
