We offer this used, fully automatic cucumber packaging system, manufactured in 2015. It is a Serfruit system, equipped with an Ulma SVC550 packaging machine and 2 Kuka robots.

Description:
Pallets are placed on a roller conveyor near the floor. The roller conveyor moves the pallet from the pallet magazine into the robot cell. The robot picks up a layer of boxes and places them on a table, where they are separated. From this conveyor, the boxes are transferred one by one to a box emptying station, where the cucumbers are emptied.
On a conveyor belt, the cucumbers are separated before being transported to the Ulma sealer.
After the sealing unit, a corrugated conveyor transports the cucumbers to another robot cell. The labeling machine (Bizerba GLM-I) labels the cucumbers fully automatically.
The robot has a gripper with 12 suction cups. It is capable of picking up 12, 11, 10, 9, or 8 cucumbers at a time. Depending on the selected program, 12 to 24 cucumbers can be placed in a box. The program can be adjusted as needed.
As a standard setting, 12 cucumbers per box are used, and the installation is set for 180 cucumbers/minute with 12 cucumbers/box. A different number of cucumbers per box may reduce the system's speed.

The cartons used to hold the packaged cucumbers are usually the same as those used for the unpackaged cucumbers. It is also possible to manually remove these cartons and place new ones into the system.
