● Eight-color gravure printing press (Albert Frankenthal, 1987):
● Glitter application section: For transferring glitter onto the paper surface
● Infrared drying tunnel: For foaming acrylic foam and drying embossing pastes
● Olbrich rewinder (1972): For cutting and shaping wallpaper rolls. Maximum tested roll length for acrylic wallpapers: 16 m. Origin: Germany
● Cyclone industrial unit: For saving expensive glitter and reusing it
A linear machine with eight print units. Each unit is equipped with electrical intermediate drying stations. Printing width: 600 mm. Origin: Germany
● Industrial compressors (2 units): Supply compressed air for pneumatic components
The system is currently used for the production of textured wallpapers on the following substrates:
● Paper wallpapers: 100 g/m² with acrylic foam coating, 150 g/m² with textured adhesive
● Nonwoven wallpapers: 150 g/m² with textured adhesive
The production speed for acrylic wallpapers is 90–100 m/min. The original purpose of the Albert Frankenthal gravure press was for roll-to-roll printing of flexible packaging on paper, film, food wrap, and other web materials.
