Опис
The magnetic separator is an industrial device designed for continuous purification of coolants and oil-based fluids from ferromagnetic particles generated during machining processes. In closed-loop systems, it effectively removes metal chips and fine particles from the working medium, stabilizing cooling and lubrication parameters while reducing wear on pumps and installation components.
Magnetic coolant separator – key benefits in maintaining clean machining fluids
In production environments, coolant operating in a closed circulation system is constantly exposed to metallic contamination. Ferromagnetic particles act as an abrasive material – accelerating pump wear, causing deposits in channels and nozzles, and reducing the stability of the lubricating film. As a result, the risk of surface scratches increases, machining quality decreases, and downtime related to filtration and coolant replacement becomes more frequent.
A magnetic separator for machining fluids solves this problem by automatically and continuously capturing metal particles without interrupting the production process. This allows the working medium to maintain consistent operating parameters, while the cooling system remains stable even under intensive working conditions.
What do you gain by implementing a magnetic separator in a coolant system?
Continuous coolant cleanliness – without the need to stop production.
Protection of pumps and circulation components by reducing abrasive particle contamination.
More stable machining quality (fewer scratches and improved process repeatability).
Extended coolant service life and reduced disposal costs.
Lower failure rates and reduced maintenance costs of filtration systems.
Improved waste management – automatic removal of collected chips outside the working area.
Why is magnetic separation more effective for removing ferromagnetic particles?
Unlike traditional mechanical filters, which require periodic cleaning and may experience reduced flow due to filter clogging, magnetic separation operates continuously with minimal maintenance requirements. A magnetic coolant separator removes ferromagnetic particles consistently, maintaining stable fluid flow and high machine availability.
Design and operating technology
The device has been designed to mechanically and continuously separate metallic contaminants from process fluids. The main working element is a stainless-steel magnetic drum, which rotates and attracts ferromagnetic particles from the flowing coolant. The collected contaminants are then removed and transported outside the working area.
The removal of collected particles is carried out by a shaft system:
Magnetic shaft – responsible for capturing and holding metal particles during the separation process.
Rubber-coated pressure shaft – stabilizes the removal of contaminants and assists in directing them into the waste container.
