- Can be modified for other materials (requires different abrasive belts and possibly adjustments to the feed system)

- Automatic infeed and outfeed from the machine
- Multiple pipes can be loaded, processed sequentially, and temporarily stored after processing
- Pipes are picked up by grippers and guided through the machine to the outfeed
