For sale is a professional metal 3D printing system, type SLM 280 2.0,
from SLM Solutions (Lübeck).
The SLM is designed for 24/7 operation and was last used with titanium.

Installation was in 2018. The system already has the sintering walls for gas flow.
The system has been running on argon for the last 3 years.
Approx. 50,000 laser hours.
The 50,000 hours refer to the laser-on time; the exposure time is not recorded in the older 280 models.
If I disregard the coating time, I estimate approximately 10,000 active laser hours.
Last maintenance was at the beginning of 2026.

Currently, occasional communication issues between the PC and the PLC are observed.
In rare cases, this can lead to incorrect status messages, which can cause the system to be briefly interrupted during
an ongoing job.
