About the machine:

For sale is a used Mikron WF 3S universal milling machine. It is equipped with a Heidenhain path control system TNC 114, which means it can travel a programmed distance in any one axis (X, Y, or Z) and stop automatically upon reaching the set value. Up to 4 different zero points can be set, and dimensions can be entered as either absolute values or incremental (chain) dimensions. The feed is infinitely variable from 0 to 750 mm and can be adjusted during machining. Rapid traverse can be activated at the push of a button. Spindle speed is step-adjustable from 50 rpm to 2240 rpm, but only when the machine is at standstill. The vertical milling head is mounted with three bolts, allowing for removal or reattachment in just 2 minutes; it is manually fixed using the articulated arm on the left of the machine and simply swung aside. A particular feature of this machine is its large travel distances relative to its size: Z = 380 mm, X = 500 mm, and Y = 500 mm. Additionally, the machine has electronic overload protection for the vertical spindle. Mechanically and electrically tested. You are welcome to view and test the machine under power at our facility.
